Abstract

In this article, the fundamental concepts of FTCS are introduced firstly. Then, the concepts and necessity of considering the performance degradation in the design of an active fault-tolerant control system are presented. Next, the existing methods which implement performance degradation in FTCS are summarized and categorized in detail. Finally, two performance indices are listed to assess the performance degradation of the system when some faults occur.
