Abstract
This study investigates the dent resistance of doubly-curved panels formed using several grades of sheet materials, including DDQ, BH and HSS steels. The effects of sheet thickness, yield strength as well as shell curvature on dent resistance of the panels have been considered. Based on the strengthening mechanisms such as work-hardening and bake -hardening, improvements in dent resistance have also been illustrated.
