Abstract
Based on the existing time synchronization technology and high precision POS application need, this paper presents an improved POS time synchronization method and a time synchronization precision test method. In the time synchronization method, the 1PPS from GPS receiver is used as the benchmark to correct the period of IMU data acquisition through digital parameter feedback. Then performance test and comparison experiments are carried out using the fiber optic gyro POS designed by BUAA. Experiment results show that this method can reduce time drift, compensate time transfer delay and enhance the reliability and accuracy of time synchronization.
