Abstract

An planar integrated millimeter-wave (mmW) MIMO antenna is proposed for Q-band indoor short-range wireless communications (known as IEEE 802.11aj). The introduced MIMO antenna is comprised of four printed angled dipoles with four reflector elements, and each one has the property of wide bandwidths. Prototypes are fabricated and measured, which show that the proposed MIMO antenna has a good impedance bandwidth over 43.5∼47GHz, wide bandwidths larger than 120° in their main cuts, and good isolations between any two elements. The scheme of good isolations is revealed and discussed.
