Abstract

This article discusses a system design that connects the ARINC653 system to the data distribution service network. In the middle of ARINC653 system and data distribution service network, add a VxWorks system as a message transfer layers. The data distribution service is transplanted on the VxWorks system. By sharing the same DDS topic as external DDS node, tasks in VxWorks are able to realize data exchange with DDS network. On the other side, the ARINC653 system and VxWorks system is connected by Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX). To test and verify the system, 653 system is developed as a two-partition structure, supporting two independent application in each partition. In addition, a simulation software is attached to external DDS network, working as a data incentive for the ARINC653 system.
