Abstract

Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signal is widely used in different kinds of radar system. Its high range resolution can be obtained by pulse compression. Both dechirp and matched filter processing can achieve pulse compression. In this paper, a hardware system which consists of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) is designed to implement the two kinds of algorithm about pulse compression. Moreover, the comparison of performance and resource consumption are presented in the end.
