Abstract

To solve the interference of Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) in L-band Digital Aeronautical Communication System (L-DACS), an impulsive interference method based on Independent Component Analysis (ICA) is proposed. Firstly, the mixed signal is obtained by employing multiply antennas in MIMO systems. Then, the numbers of independent signals is determined according to the MDL criterion. At last, the mix-signals can be separated with FASTICA algorithm. The data transmission with the proposed approach for DME impulsive interference is simulated in the AWGN channel and aeronautical multipath En-Router (ENR) scenario. Simulation results verify valid of the method based on ICA in DME interference mitigation.
