Abstract

Wurtzite ZnS nanowires were prepared through a hydrothermal synthesis route with a low-temperature (180°C) in the presence of ethylenediamine (en). The structure and morphology of the samples are studied and the growth mechanism is discussed. Room-temperature photoluminescence properties and the thermal gravimetric characteristics of the as-synthesized ZnS nanostructures are also studied.
