Abstract

This paper introduces an (Formula presented.) fault-tolerant intermittent load frequency control (LFC) strategy for multi-area power systems (PS) under disturbances, actuator failures, and deception attacks. Initially, in order to reduce the required cost and the impact caused by the actuator failures in the multi-area PS under disturbances and deception attacks, a new (Formula presented.) fault-tolerant intermittent control scheme is proposed. Subsequently, by developing switching-time-dependent Lyapunov function, the exponential stability and (Formula presented.) -gain performance are guaranteed. Finally, the (Formula presented.) fault-tolerant intermittent LFC is proved effective by taking a three-area PS under disturbances, actuator failures, and deception attacks as an example.
