title = "Highly electrical conductive multi-walled carbon nanotube/BMI composites",
abstract = "Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs)-reinforced bismaleimide (BMI) resin composites with high concentration (∼60 wt.\%) of nanotubes were successfully fabricated. The manufacturing process achieved good alignment and contact among the millimeter-long MWNTs in the resultant composite materials. The composites demonstrated unprecedentedly high electrical conductivity of 5,500 S/cm along the alignment direction. Mechanical properties comparable to the IM7 composites were also achieved. The integration of high mechanical performance and electrical conductivity opens the door for developing polymer composite conductors and eventually realizing multifunctional applications of structural composites, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and lightning strike protection.",
