Abstract
The fabrication of a Cr3Si/Cr13Ni5Si2 intermetallic alloy consisting of Cr3Si primary dendrites and interdendritic Cr3Si/Cr13Ni5Si2 eutectics was discussed. It was found that the ternary metal silicides with weaker atomic bonds possesses good toughness. The analysis showed that the Cr3Si/Cr13Ni5Si2 intermetallic alloys possessed high-temperature sliding wear resistance.
