Abstract

As a new spotlight SAR image formation algorithm, frequency scaling approach precisely performs the range cell migration correction without interpolation by using a novel frequency scaling operation. A new frequency scaling image formation algorithm suitable for high squint angle is proposed. Point target simulations up to 45 degree squint angle have been carried out to show the validity of the improved algorithm. Also a spotlight image extracted from stripmap raw data of DLR's E-SAR system is presented.
