High-accuracy non-contract measurement of static characteristic of voice coil motor

Abstract

A method is proposed to calibrate VCM by 2-D image measuring system. The displacement of VCM imaged in the field of view of image measuring system is measured when VCM is input electric current by measuring system. According to the experiment, the linear error of the VCM of Kss572 CD-ROM of SONY is 1.19% in a scope of ±500 μm, and sensitive coefficient of static characteristic is 8.171μm / mA.
