Abstract

In this paper, we firstly present a heterogeneous probabilistic model where the contact between nodes is based on the independent differently distributed assumption. Moreover, the message spraying or forwarding follows the Gamma Distribution. Based on this model, we improve traditional spray routing scheme in Delay Tolerant Networks. Then, we compare our improved scheme with traditional spraying routing schemes on the ONE simulator with both real dataset of Infocom06 and scenario of Working Day Movement Model. Simulation results show that under similar delivery latency, our improved scheme generates much fewer message copies and hop count than traditional spraying routing protocols.
