Abstract

A robust hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme based on turbo product codes is presented. This scheme employs an efficient iterative decoding algorithm for larger coding gain and Chase combining technique for diversity gain. Simulation results show that, with a lower decoding complexity, the proposed scheme can provide better performances than those of existing HARQ schemes using PCCC (parallel concatenated convolutional code).
