Generation of strong-field terahertz pulses and its application in electron acceleration

Abstract

We design a wafer-bonded lithium niobate structure towards overcoming the optical-to-terahertz energy conversion efficiency limitations leading to high optical-to-THz energy conversion efficiency and better output THz beam quality from wafer-bonded LN under moderate pump conditions.
