GA based automatic design and optimization of QFT controller

Abstract

QFT can provide robust control for plants with large uncertainties. Since manual design with the help of QFT box in Matlab is complicated and even unsolvable and existent automatic design methods are limited in optimization. Based on genetic algorithm (GA), a more effective automatic design methodology of QFT robust controller is proposed. Some new optimization indexes are adopted, so the design method is more mature. To obtain good performance of the controller in a relatively short time, the manual design and the automatic design are combined to form the optimization of QFT controller based on GA. Compared with the results of manual design and other automatic design methods, the performance of the QFT controller designed by this method is better and the efficiency of searching scheme is high. It is an automatic and optimal design method for QFT robust controller.
