Abstract
The ageing condition of a power transformer is identified, dividing it into normal ageing and abnormal ageing. Fuzzy theory is applied to assess the degree of ageing and whether it is normal or abnormal. Then a synthetic evaluation model is constructed to identify the ageing condition step by step. The simulation results show that this model is effective for recognising the status of solid insulation, and its result will be helpful to the prediction of residual life.
