Abstract
Recently research on the evaluation of pipeline leak detection systems has been developing due to the widespread of natural gas supply through pipeline transportation in urban areas. This paper presents an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for assessing the performance of leak detection systems. In this method, the weights of different indexes are calculated by combining entropy weight with AHP weight. Weighted average operator is introduced to replace the fuzzy operator in traditional evaluation models. And interval evaluation according to comment rank is also adopted for final evaluation results. Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of new approach. Compared with other common evaluation methods, new approach could effectively enhance evaluation resolution, satisfying the requirement of pipeline leak detection application.
