Abstract

This paper proposes two designs of frequency selective surfaces (FSS) to meet the requirements imposed on the subreflector in four-band Cassegrain configuration. To make the design perform in high stability, the FSS with double-screen-single-circular-ring (DSSCR) patch elements is preferred and fabricated to a prototype. Simulation and measurement are implemented in cases of the incident angle in a variation within 0 to 30 degree, and good results suggest that this FSS design is an effective solution of four-band system that transmits the X- and Ku-band signals while reflecting the K- and Ka-band signals.
