Abstract

The quality of fuel spray is decided by the structure of nozzle and high-pressure fuel pipe in the pump-tube-nozzle fuel injection system, and it influences the whole diesel combustion. By using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) theoretical and numerical simulation method, the calculation model of a certain type 385 diesel engine was set up, and simulation analysis of fluid flow process in the fuel injector and high-pressure fuel pipe was performed with fluid structure interaction (FSI) technique. The influence of the length of high-pressure fuel pipe was analyzed by means of convenient and facile computational simulation method, and the geometry parameter was confirmed. The research provided theoretical evidence for the subsequent research of diesel fuel injection system.
