Abstract

In this paper, a new bond graph method (BGM) model to describe the thin-walled elastic tube with the inviscid compressible fluid is presented. This model represents an improvement over the classical BGM model because the fluid-structure interaction, which acts an important pole in the modal analysis of the pipe with fluid, is considered in this model. The new model is applied to a short water-filled copper pipe to calculate the modal, and comparison is made with the Finite Element Method (FEM) method. Chart results are presented. This model can calculate the modal for the thin-walled elastic tube with fluid well.
