Flexible generation of optical frequency combs based on stimulated brillouin scattering and a dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator

Abstract

We demonstrate a new scheme of generating optical frequency combs (OFCs) based on the stimulated Brillouin scattering and a dual parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator. OFCs with a spacing of a Brillouin frequency shift are experimentally generated.
