Abstract

In this paper, a homing guidance law considering impact time and impact angle constraints under limited field-of-view (FOV) is proposed. To deal with these constraints, the line-of-sight (LOS) shaping approach is employed to create the reference LOS profiles that are quartic polynomials in time. The boundary conditions on the LOS angle and LOS rate lead to a single parameter in the desired LOS profiles. By investigating the relation between the look angle dynamics and the LOS profiles, a partial numerical routine is provided to determine a set of feasible LOS profiles such that the seeker's FOV limit cannot be violated. Moreover, the non-singular terminal sliding mode technique is applied to achieve the precise tracking of the desired LOS profiles. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to validate effectiveness and feasibility of the guidance law.
