Abstract

Fatigue crack growth evolution under cyclic loading was investigated optically using DIC method in an edge crack tension specimen at room temperature. The material test was anisotropic nickel based superalloy DZ125. Characters of crack like crack growth rate and tip filed evolution were obtained which showed difference from other isotropic superalloy. Moreover, the effect of crack closure was obtained by vertical displacement along the crack.
