Abstract
The failure reason of the aluminum alloy tube was investigated by macroscopic and microcosmic appearance observation, quality of material test, the stress analysis. The results show that there are little concave pits on the outside surface of the tube, when the tube is being used, there would be stress-concentration in the concave pits, this would lead to the rupture. The improvement suggestion is given to strengthen fluorescence nondestructive test for the tube.
