Abstract
In order to provide clear information of the local battlefield for the chain of command, enhance the low observable target detection probability, the positioning accuracy and identification probability, we need to fuse image information of UAV urgently. In this paper we focus on fusion algorithms especially for the image of UAV and employ experimental testing to compare their performance. To judge the performance of image fusion algorithms, we investigate both subjective and objective evaluation measures. Performance evaluation experiments show that observers generally prefer to fusion scheme based on wavelet. Further, the objective quality measure results show that these fusion schemes follow human evaluations much closer than the other methods in most of the cases we considered.
