Abstract

The tensile and compressive performance of carbon fiber (CCF300)/bismaleimide (GW300) laminates were experimentally studied at 200°C and 300°C. It is found that the tensile strength and modulus of the laminates controlled by the resin decrease more than those controlled by the fibers. The compressive strength of the thick laminates increases more than that of the thin laminates with temperature rising. The retention rate of tensile performance is high, while it is low for the compressive performance at high temperature. The retention rate of tensile strength of the laminates controlled by the resin and fibers are more than 70% and 90%, respectively, at 300°C, while both of the retention rate of compressive strength of thick and thin laminates are a little more than 30%.
