Abstract

PDA (Phase Dopplor Analyzer ) was employed to study the structure of spray in model combustor. The measured parameters include the three-dimensional velocity, mean diameter and flux of liquid particles. The relation between spray parameters and operating conditions (the airflow mass and liquid pressure) was studied. It is proved that water pressure can accelerate the droplets and reduce the Sauter mean diameter (SMD) .The air flow can enlarge and change the shape of the spray.
