Abstract
An electrical heating suspended droplet experimental system was adopted to study the liquid fuel evaporation characteristics. Five kinds of liquid fuel single droplets were tested in various-component and high-temperature gas environment. The experimental high-speed microscopic pictures were processed by MATLAB program combined with Photoshop software. Sixty-three sets of effective experimental data were obtained. The analysis results show that the test results in this paper are of the same accuracy as those from abroad. The higher the environmental temperature is, or the greater the small molecular gas flux is, the bigger the evaporation rate value will be. With the change of temperature, there is significant quantitative difference between ordinary kerosene and RP3 aviation kerosene in evaporation rate. The traditional Ranz-Marshall evaporation model needs further research.
