Abstract

In order to study the pressure fluctuation characteristics along the axis and cross-section of the flow over slender body in multi-vortices area at high angels of attack and zero slip, an experiment of pressure measurement has been carried out in subcritical Re number range. The corresponding relationship between the pressure fluctuation magnitude of cross-section and the primary frequency and the vortices on the back of the slender cylinder has been analyzed. There is an unsteady phenomena which are different completely from Karman vortex shedding in multi-vortices area. It can be found that the tendency of St number of predominant frequency of pressure fluctuating increases along the slender cylinder axis.
