Abstract

An experimental study on the fuel match of main fuel and local fuel of EBMC Flame holder was conducted using a main atomizing platelet injector. Meanwhile, the performance characteristics of EBMC Flame holder were presented. In order to demonstrate the advantage of this new type of atomizing platelet injector by which fuel was injected into the cross flow, two different types of flame holders were used as main flame holders. Its combustion performance was compared with that of atomizing platelet injector by which fuel was injected into the opposed flow. The experimental results show that combustion performance of the atomizing platelet injectors by which fuel was injected into the cross flow is superior to that of the other one within the range of operating conditions of this experiment.
