Abstract

Taking the transonic fan stage of a small turbofan engine as the research object, the original tandem stator was replaced by high-turning bowed-twisted stator. Pressure and temperature distributions at stage exit were detailed measured under full conditions. Both the controlling effect and flow mechanism of high-turning blade on flow fields were discussed by exit total pressure distributions. The comparative analysis shows that high-turning bowed-twisted stator has better performance in controlling pressure fields and potential flow than tandem stator under variable conditions in transonic fan stage.
