title = "Experimental investigation of thermal contact conductance between titanium TC4 and alloy steel 30CrMnSi",
abstract = "Thermal contact conductance (TCC) is used to characterize heater transfer across interfaces in contact. It is an important parameter in thermal analysis of turbomachinery components and finds many other applications in the aerospace, automotive, and metal working industries. An experimental apparatus to measure the thermal contact conductance (TCC) between interfaces of two contact solid materials was introduced. By the present experimental apparatus, an experimental investigation was conducted with pressed pairs of TC4/30CrMnSi in the range 200\textasciitilde{}350? and 0\textasciitilde{}150MPa to find out the effect of interface roughness and lay direction on thermal contact conductance. The results show that the effect of lay direction (parallel or vertical) on TCC is much bigger hen the surface roughness is bigger. Changing regularity of TCC with pressure is similar for specimens with different surface roughness when the lay direction is parallel and the specimens with bigger surface roughness have larger TCC.",
