Abstract

Detection of slide is so important for the robot's grasping activity without damage to the reliable and comprehensive signals which must be supplied. The low cost slipping sensor based on photo electricity is introduced. The sensor with simple construction and low cost is composed of photoelectric element and elastic contactor. The contactor transforms slide to vibration which is transformed to electric signal then by photoelectric element. Experimental result demonstrates that the sensor can provide not only the judgment of slide but also the degree of slipping through the model building.
