Abstract
A generalized approach to flight program design for single and multi-stage rockets are presented. This approach uses an engineering method based on the principle of calculus variation. Its object is to design the pitch program for a missile by giving attack angle program. The optimization of maximum attack angle is evaluated according to the given initial design parameters by using the orthogonal method. This approach is efficient for flight program design of multi-stage rockets.
