Abstract
Incorporating reduced graphene oxide (RGO) with Co/Co3O4 gives rise to the enhancement of the electromagnetic wave absorption of the composite, contributed from the excellent electric property and the unique architectural morphology of RGO. The complex permeability and complex permittivity are investigated in the range of 1-18 GHz. The reflection loss RL of the Co/Co3O4 /RGO composite shows higher performance than that of the Co/Co3O4 composite due to the unique electronic property coming from the RGO. The frequency and the thickness of the absorber, of which the peak RL value occurs, derived from the transmit-line theory agree well with the results from the quarter-wavelength matching principle. Hence, the Co/Co3O4 RGO composite is one of the promising candidates for microwave absorption.
