Electromagnetic design and optimal design of Sm-Co permanent DC aero-electrical motor

Abstract

To design the maximal efficiency and minimal size of the Aero-Sm Co permanent DC electrical motor, based on the principle of electromagnetic design of electrical motor and the feature of Aero-products, the range of electromagnetic load of Sm Co permanent DC electrical motor is determined first, then, a performance index of minimizing the size and maximizing the efficiency of the electrical motor is set to optimally design the rotor diameter, length of rotor, size of rotor slot, number of notch and so on. The products designed by this method meet the design specification successfully.
