Abstract

By means of multigrid method, the influence of load parameter, velocity parameter and material parameter on film thickness and pressure distributing in elastohydrodynamically elliptic contacts has been studied. The results showed: The film thickness was diminished; The second pressure peak was moved to the entrance of oil film shaping, at the same time dropping and broadening, while the load parameter was increased. The film thickness was increased and began to shrink at the entrance, the second pressure teak was moved to the entrance of oil film shaping along with the velocity parameter was increased. By increasing the material parameter, the film thickness and the pressure was increased, but the shrinkage of oil film and the second pressure peak was not change.
