Abstract
There is a bearing structure along lean direction in main roof rocks due to mining in steep long-wall seam. On the base of this theory, the effect of the water-block of this bearing structure along lean direction was analyzed. The mining depth to prohibiting from rain was 238.52 m in Wangjiashan mining area, and it was calculated through the relation between the stresses of the bearing structure and the pore pressure. The relation between the fluxes in the working face acquired from statute and the mining depth indicates that the fluxes in the working face become less and less when the mining depth is over 235 m. The results from theoretical arithmetic are nearly consistent with the results from statute. The bearing structure along lean direction in main roof rocks due to mining in steep long-wall seam can prohibit from rain in special mining depth.
