Abstract
In order to study the effect of gas-particle two-phase flow on the jet vane performance based on the working characteristics of solid rocket motor jet vane, the flow field and aerodynamic performance of jet vane with or without particle was researched by solving the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equation. In the research, three different diameters of particle 1, 10 μm and 30 μm, three different mass fractions 15%, 20% and 30%, different vane deflection angles 0°, 5° 10° and 15° were considered. The results show that, the pressure of jet vane surface with particles is higher than that without particles, and the difference on the windward and the front part of the jet vane is evident. For the aerodynamic performance, the lift and drag with particles are larger than those without particles, in addition, the difference decreases with the increase of particle diameter, and increases with the growing particle mass fraction under a special particle mass fraction.
