Abstract

Potentiodynamic polarization technique and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were employed to study the effect of dissolved oxygen on the corrosion behavior of X70 pipeline steels in ku'erle soil simulated solution at 20°C. The experimental results of potentiodynamic polarization curves and EIS show that with the decrease of dissolved oxygen in ku'erle soil simulated solution, polarization resistance (Rp) increases, corrosion current density (icorr) and the corrosion rate reduce; the corrosion behaviors of X70 pipeline steels are controlled by activation in ku'erle soil simulated solution with dissolved oxygen concentration 1.1345 mg/L and 3.0491 mg/L; the corrosion behavior are controlled by diffusion with dissolved oxygen concentration 0.4056 mg/L.
