Abstract
This study investigates the effects of curing conditions, fly ash, and silica fume on the strength of alkali-activated steel slag. Specifically, it examines ambient air conditions at 18–20 °C and 59 %-80 % relative humidity, as well as curing in air at 20 °C and 95 % relative humidity, and in water at 20 °C. The results show that ambient air conditions provide the highest compressive strength, whereas air curing at 20 °C and 95 % relative humidity produces the highest flexural strength. High dosages of FA and SF adversely affected the 28-day compressive and flexural strength of alkali-activated steel slag.
