Effect of angle random walk of fiber optic gyro (FOG) on INS

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Angle random walk (ARW) is the specification of optic gyros, which influences the performance of INS greatly. In this paper. The author analyses the conception and the source of ARW about FOG. It is discussed which RWC affects the performance of INS based on FOGs about initial alignment and navigation. It is proved that RWC affects the time of initial alignment and the performance of short-time INS. the error of INS increases with the navigation time, and the performance of FOGs must Match with navigation time.
