Abstract

A multiple degree-of-freedom (DOF) active vibration isolation module (AVIM) is designed and constructed, which consists of two magnetostrictive actuators, [1] applied to active vibration control, and four spring-rubber elements for passive support and damper. This paper addresses the dynamics model of the AVIM. The Vibration Differential Equations of it with magnetostrictive actuators has been established. The validity of the dynamic model is illustrated by comparison with the results of the modal analysis by ANSYS software. And the active vibration control test results of real-time experiments with X-LMS algorithm have been showed. More than 25 dB of vibration attenuation is achieved in the frequency band of 5Hz to 100Hz.
