Dynamic characteristic-based optimal design of a fully compliant mechanism

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

A systematic and effective optimal design method is discussed for the high-accuracy mechanism based on its dynamic characteristics by taking a simple full compliant mechanism (FCM) i.e. the parallel-guiding mechanism for instance. In particular, a detailed description of the procedure of selecting parameters for optimal design is presented. The validity of the optimal design method is verified with the aid of a finite element simulation during the optimization.
