Abstract

To improve the Signal to Noise Ration (SNR) and space resolution of distributed fiber sensors, a dual-channel data acquiring and preprocessing system was designed. The real time accumulative average filter function on the distributed continuous space point was realized by two double ports Random Access Memory (RAM), which can be generated easily by the IP core software provided by Xilinx Company. The relationship between SNR and accumulative average times, system operation principles, hardware working scheme and its time sequence simulation were also presented. The Raman distributed fiber sensor measurement resolution is better than 2°C and 1m in space distinguishing ability.
