Abstract

A domain decomposition based technique for two-dimensional (2-D) sea surface generation is proposed, which decomposes the 2-D sea spectrum into multiple blocks and generates sea surfaces corresponding to the complete sea spectrum block by block. The weighted curvature approximation (WCA) method combining with domain decomposition is used in electromagnetic calculation. Doppler spectrum from 2-D sea surfaces at L and X band are simulated and analyzed. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed technique can deal with the generation of large sea surfaces with huge sampling grid and electro magnetic scattering calculation, and simulation of Doppler spectrum at higher microwave band are available on personal computers and it is more suitable for parallel computing.
