Abstract

Demodulation scheme based on 3 × 3 coupler is one of the implementations of fiber optical hydrophones. The performance of the demodulation scheme based on analog circuit always suffers from the drift of the parameters and complexity of adjustment. A digitized demodulation system is built for fiber optical hydrophones based on dynamic data acquisition platform from NI company. The attributes of the system are analyzed. The performance of the digitized system is much better than that of the analog system.
