Abstract

The gust generator, which drive blade swing in the tunnel to generate gust, is the key equipment for wind tunnel test of gust response. This sduty developed a oscillating blade gust generator for FL-10 wind tunnel. The gust generator has four blades which driven by four electro-hydraulic servo oscillating cylinders independently. Therefore the developed gust generator can realizes combined movement of blades with different amplitudes, frequencies and waveforms. The test and experimental verification results illustrate that the developed gust generator has strong performance which can drive blades swing under very high frequency with high precision. The successful simulation of gust flow field indicates that FL-10 wind tunnel has the ability to carry out experimental study on gust response of aircraf.
